HOTELS
If you do not secure housing through Rice University, you are encouraged to stay in a hotel nearby Rice University. There will be no transportation services provided by ITI, so please plan accordingly to be able to commute to ITI each day. You will likely need to drive/rideshare from your hotel to Rice as Houston has very limited public transportation.
Some of the closer proximity hotels might provide shuttle service. Participants and Auditors are encouraged to inquire with the hotel prior to booking.
In-person Participants and Auditors will find off-campus Rice shuttle bus routes that have stops close to many of the nearby hotels.
Here is a list of hotels nearby Rice.
Masterclass Spaces and Practice Rooms
Rice University boasts some of the best facilities in the country, and we have been given access to nearly all of the main performance spaces at The Shepherd School of Music for the duration of ITI. In addition to the performance spaces shown below, there will be many practice rooms available for individual practice. Participants are encouraged to bring a timpani practice pad for personal use as well.
Livestream and Masterclass Archive
LIVESTREAM

Virtual attendees will be able to watch every class live in real time directly from on the ITI website where you are right now! All virtual attendees will receive emails with information about the livestream links, and how to access them.

Virtual Attendees, Participants, and Auditors will all have the opportunity to re-watch any of our 8 masterclasses for up to 30 days after the conclusion of ITI. Every masterclass will be placed in an HD Masterclass Archive that will also be accessible from right here on the website.
